Dr Peter Lewis

Medical Director and Founder

MBBS, FAARM, Dip. Sports Med

Dr Peter Lewis has been an Australian registered medical practitioner since 1983, being a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery graduate from Monash University. In 1988, he completed a post-graduate diploma in Sports Medicine.

He is an expert in the field of sports medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a regenerative medicine treatment. This can be used for many sport injuries such as tendon tears, as well as medical conditions such as osteoarthritis. He was one of the first clinicians in Australia to offer PRP treatment, and is now widely considered the most experienced.

In his role as a general practitioner, he is involved in the clinical training of medical and nursing students. He is the current chairman of the Australian Ringside Medical Association and the presiding doctor for most boxing and kickboxing fights in Victoria.

Dr Lewis is the CEO of Central Melbourne Institute, a forerunner institute providing health sciences and management courses. He also has a wealth of experience working, lecturing and educating on the topics of PRP and stem cell therapies in Australia and other countries worldwide.

Dr Rob Weiss

MBBS

Dr Rob Weiss is a University of Melbourne graduate who has worked in General Practice since 1984.

 

Over his career, he has developed experience in all aspects of general practice.

 

His special interests include PRP therapy and musculoskeletal medicine, with a focus on soft tissue and joint injectables.

Dr. Ahmed Yazdani

BSc, MBBS

Dr. Ahmed graduated from Deakin University and completed his medical training in Victoria, where he holds full qualifications to practice.

He shares our philosophy of wellness in the fullest sense: exercise, nutrition, weight management, and advanced regenerative treatments like PRP for joint pain all working together.

Outside the clinic, he trains in martial arts, bringing the same discipline and focus to his sport as he does to patient care.

Dr Jared Mathai

BSc, MBBS, FRACP

Consultant Medical Oncologist

Dr. Jared Mathai is a Consultant Medical Oncologist with a special interest in lung cancer and melanoma.

He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2023 and is on the path to commencing a PhD focused on exercise in the neoadjuvant lung cancer setting through the Austin Hospital.

Dr. Mathai has extensive research experience, having spent 2022 and 2023 as the Lung and Melanoma Trials Fellow at the Austin Hospital.

He is deeply committed to supporting his patients and empowering them to take ownership of their health journey through an evidence-based approach.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s soccer team, cycling, and playing Sunday futsal—when his hamstrings allow!

Dr Mark Choong

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Choong graduated from University of Melbourne in 1996 with the much coveted Baldwin Spencer prize for Medical Biology. He was short-listed for the Jamieson prize for Clinical Medicine.

Dr Choong trained at St. Vincent’s Hospital and has an extensive working history at the Austin and Repatriation Medical Centre in many disciplines ranging from psychiatry to intensive care.


As a general practitioner, he has worked in a broad range of community health services including the North Yarra drug and alcohol service, the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service and the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. He has also done elective work in Zambia and Egypt.


Dr Choong has a special interest in sexual health and men’s health and has been working in the field of HIV for over 18 years. He is a member of ASHM and works closely with the Alfred Hospital in HIV patient care. He has participated in numerous HIV research projects.


Mark is also one of the volunteer doctors who pioneered the HIV PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) Program in Victoria (PEP – medications taken within 72 hours of high risk exposure to prevent HIV transmission). He is currently a regular HIV PEP and PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) prescriber.


Working as a cosmetic physician since 2006, Dr Choong has a special interest in anti-wrinkle injections and facial sculpting with fillers. He also works with Sculptra for treatment of HIV related lipoatrophy.

"On" Sirion Hongsopha

Cosmetic Nurse

On is a Registered Nurse and an Australian Catholic University graduate. She has extensive experience training other nurses how to administer PRP injections in Thailand and Australia.

 

On is passionate about regenerative medicine, particularly cosmetic PRP. She has over a decade of experience using PRP for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration.

With more than 30 years experience and tertiary level qualifications in exercise physiology and exercise science, acupuncture, nutrition, and remedial massage, Steve brings together a range of mainstream and complimentary therapies to deliver the best possible results for all our patients.

He incorporates his wide-ranging body of knowledge and multi-modality approach to provide effective solution-focused  treatment for a range of conditions including chronic back and joint pain, headaches and migraines, osteoarthritis, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, chronic fatigue, diabetes, balance issues and fall prevention, pre & post joint surgery rehabiltation, and cancer recovery.

Dr. Isabella Sillar

Dr. Izzy has a special interest in combining aesthetic medicine, sports medicine with wellness strategies to help patients achieve vibrancy. and harmonisation in their appearance. Dr Teong Chuah

Dr Teong has been a rural GP for the past 15 years. He has a special interest in regenerative medicine, PRP treatment in osteoarthritis, back pain, bursitis and musculoskeletal injuries, diabetes, skin cancer procedures including ear and nose skin graft, weight loss, PRP cosmetic procedures and stem cell procedures.

 

Dr Chuah has been working with skin cancer medicine for more than 10 years.

Dr Atef Asham

MBBS, MSc, FRACGP

Dr Asham received his medical degree from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1992. He then went on to gain a Masters degree in Cardiology in 2000.

 

As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Dr Asham brings a solid base of knowledge and experience to this practice. His medical interests include chronic disease management, cardiovascular care and PRP treatments in joints.

Dr Ananta Kolesky

Dr Ananta Kolesky was born and raised in South Africa, graduating from the University of the Orange Free State in 1999.

She moved to Australia in 2003. Dr. Kolesky has 15 years experience in Emergency Medicine, as well as 8 years worth of experience in practicing General, Functional and Anti-Ageing Medicine.

Dr Kolesky's passion in medicine is to find the root cause of illness and address that by practicing preventative and lifestyle medicine. Her love of PRP stems from her belief that natural is always better.

Dr Welson Jao

Dr Welson Jao was born in Taiwan and grew up in New Zealand, graduating from the University of Otago in 2009. Having worked in several major hospitals in Queensland, he later completed his fellowship with Royal College of General practitioner in 2019.

 

Dr Jao’s passion in medicine is to relieve pain without the need of long term pain medications because he understands the devastating impact of chronic pain on one’s life and the addictive nature of the drug. This is the driving force for his pursuit of professional skills in acupuncture, regenerative medicine and laser therapy.

Dr Taciano Bantatua

FRACGP

Dr Taciano has earned specialist recognition as an orthopaedic surgeon in the Philippines. He now works as a GP and regenerative medicine doctor with a special interest in PRP. His clinic is located in Hornsby, Northern Sydney.
