Pre-Consultation

We request patients to bring to their appointment blood test results from the last 12 months and a referral from your doctor.

 

Initial Consultation (1 hour)

Extensive history and examination

  • Identify potential risk factors that would contribute to a potential cancer diagnosis

  • Introduction to our on site Exercise Physiologist and dietitian to help formulate structured/supervised program.

  • Ordering of investigations as deemed clinically appropriate

 

Review Appointment (30 minutes)

  • Follow up of any further tests organised at initial consultation

Dr Jared Mathai

Dr. Jared Mathai is a Consultant Medical Oncologist with a special interest in lung and melanoma cancer.

 

He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2023 and is on the path to commencing a PhD focused on exercise in the neoadjuvant lung cancer setting through the Austin Hospital.

 

Dr. Mathai has extensive research experience, having spent 2022 and 2023 as the Lung and Melanoma Trials Fellow at the Austin Hospital.
