Treatment of experimental arthritis by inducing immune tolerance with human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells
Gonzalez et al. (2009)
This study examined the treatment of RA in mice through administration of human adipose derived mesenchymal stem cell (hAdMSC’s) therapy. The results were promising, with prevention of disease progression by inducing the emergence of antigen specific Treg-cells, a subpopulation of T-cells that assist in preventing autoimmune diseases such as RA.
